On the sugar rush scale, this L.A. pop-punk outfit’s second disc (and first
for Victory) rates around a 4 or so—the equivalent of several boxes of
Nerds
chased
with a liter of Fanta grape. You’ll feel a bit giddy from the sheer gallop
of
the material (especially opener “Keep Dancin’” with its ? and the Mysterians
keyboards), but afterwards, the heard-it-before factor (MxPx, Generation X
and Sublime all get soundchecked here) will leave you feeling draggy and a bit
sick. Nothing special here, but nothing truly awful either. This might be
the
gateway band to get your little sister off the Good Charlotte and headed in
the
right direction.
