All the time, I really wanted to have something to do with the Sex business. I would visit strip theaters and the original X-rated movie theaters. When video became the mainstay of the business in the early ‘80s, L.A.
became the capital of the adult business. The girls were prettier, the
weather was spectacular, and the look started to become more important

David Christopher: He was into S&M and moved into that field after making a number of high budget films that I was in like Rollerbabies (and Twilite Pink, ’81). - Chuck Vincent (hardcore director who segued into lowbudget exploitation in the ‘80s, including Hollywood Hot Tubs; died from AIDS in 1991; directed David in Visions, ’77, and This Lady is a Tramp, ’80) David Christopher: He wanted to make movies that were for a regular audience. Since he was gay, he made movies from that perspective. He cared about acting and the story more than the sex. - Bobby Astyr (prolific porn actor of the ‘70s and longtime companion to Samantha Fox; dubbed “the Clown Prince of Porn” for his broad performances, he died in 2002) David Christopher: He was a funny Jewish comic who had a knack for performing as a character in sex movies.
