Dead And Buried (1981)
Directed by Gary Sherman
Starring James Farentino, Melody Anderson, Jack Alberston

I like to use this section mostly for bringing out old film oddities that I use to like when I was younger; those old high school days of going to the PI Alley cinema in downtown  Boston to see flicks like the Evil Dead and a million others. Those places are gone now, like the Rat, but the memories never go away. (A little semtimental moment here, getting misty eyes, hold on ..ok, now lets move along now ,shall we?) Here is another long lost one for you people out there looking for something alot better than the usual dreck that is called 'horror' these days. (Those vapid teen Ambercrombie vehicles be damned, we are taking you to the promised land here, so hold on tight folks...or you can get off at the next stop, doesn't matter to me, makes more room on the train for the rest of us.) Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett, that dynamic duo who brought us the original Alien, hits you with this very twisted tale of a happy little town with a dark secret that involves bringing the dead back to life, a very egocentric mortician, and some of that early 80's gore horror lunacy that came from a time that can never be repeated, no matter how many times they try to duplicate it. I'm not going to explain the plot, that would give it all away so just rent it and indulge in a 80's classic.
