Seven songs cut from this sort of stoned-freshman-with-a-guitar cloth would probably wear out its welcome in your CD player after the first tune, but Cock Lorge is smart enough to not take himself seriously in the least, and instead devotes his material to poking fun at overheated pop metaphors and dick-swinging attitudes in general (the title track asks, “I want you to suck my cock tonight/I want you to lick my balls tonight/I want you to bring me weed tonight/I want you to leave my place tonight,” which is immediately followed by a roar of canned applause). His songs are also insidiously catchy, so be prepared to explain to your co-workers why you’ve been singing, “Cock in the pussy…” under your breath for the entire day. I Want You is infinitely more entertaining than a record about someone’s dick should be, and best of all – no power ballads! __________________________________________________ |

If you didn’t already guess, folk-funkster
Cock Lorge’s primary
interest is his cock, which he celebrates in five of the seven songs on
this CD. Musical odes to a singer’s dick should be nothing new if you’re a
regular visitor to this site – some of our fave bands, after all, have
made a career out of penning tunes about their pricks (they don’t call it
cock rock cause the lyrics are arrogant, ya know). And Cock Lorge’s dick
dirges could certainly give the most phallocentric bands a run for their
money – album opener “Cock in the Pussy” is essentially comprised of those
words, repeated over and over for 3:09 (album closer, “Chip’s in the
Cookie,” is the same tune, only with the less-pungent title phrase), and
“The Box” puts an amusingly juvenile spin on the nonsense phrase “thinking
inside the box.”
