MOKSHA
Supersilver Haze

Extreme stoner rock from Spain? Sure, why not? Moksha slam and wallop their guitars into dust while battering out a raw, aggressive barrage of sub-Sabbath dope-doom metal complete with big-dog-barking sore throat vox, demonic cowbell, and an unwavering will to provoke. Moksha are closer cousins to the puke-powered American stoner-crust scene (Beaten Back to Pure, Weedeater, etc.) then they are to the laid-back psyche metal of their fellow Euro dopers, so make sure your loins are well girded before strapping “Supersilver Haze” on, because there’s no doubt about it, these fuckers mean you harm. Dig the monster movie histrionics of “Neurons” or the tooth-loosening aural assault of “Temps Dolents” for two prime examples. They do manage to just kick out the fuckin’ jams here too, as evidenced by the 70’s fried crotch grabber “Move Over”, which is probably what it would sound like if a bunch of gorillas got drunk and tried picking up strippers in a 7-11 parking lot, but mostly it’s an onslaught of jarring drugnoise. If your tastes lean towards the heavy and psychotic, then I suggest you look these heavy-lidded Spaniards up. Just bring protection. ________________________________________________________
