Johnny Vasher is one of the only guys I know who can write the exact same song over and over again and still have it kick your ass a different shade of blue and purple every single time. Whether he’s the enigmatic leader of Motor City mayhem junkies, The Lanternjack (with whom he corrupted everyone and everything as the appropriately named Johnny Flash), or out on his own as some lost prophet seeking unholy redemption, Vasher’s got this distinct sound of over-buzzed guitar, scratchy vox, and intimidating electricity that’s as good a formula for dirty, degrading rock n’ roll as anything AC/DC ever came up with, and look at the kind of career they built on the strength of familiarity.

So, if you’ve been to bed with The Lanternjack, you know what kind of strange bedfellow this album’s gonna make. Of course, Vasher’s brining the love this time around – a slinky come-on, some cheap wine, shots of whiskey, and a handful of pills – and is seducing you with his sleazy charms: “My love is for the hookers and girls like you.” And you won’t care that you’re left dizzy and bleeding come the morning light, as you wrestle with the spiders and flies of your mind, because you’ve been fucked by rock. Johnny Vasher really does love you – in his own outrageous way – and these here songs prove it.

*NOTE* - they're not here yet. Couple days. ________________________________________________________
