ASMODEUS
Diabolique Royale
Hairball 8

I’ve been sitting on this review for awhile, hording the CD in my truck like the gem that it is. Total ratrod race rock intended for demon speed queens who will and have used the emergency lane. Anything with songs about semi trucks aces on my super rock quiz, anyway. This six string, deadly sting gas rips straight out of The Netherland’s Asmodeus while it leaves one gasping for fresh air and dodging all debris. Their name means 'homewrecker' in Hebrew, which pretty much sums up the sped up, drunk-punk demeanor. Over a decade of dice rolling, flipped-up pompadour, gut rock, and “Diabolique Royale” is here to stay. With early influences such as Krewman and Batmobile, Asmodeus could relate to hotrods in more than one way. Like Ford and GM, Psychos have been competing with Teddies in Europe for decades until just recently stated by Asmodeus’s drummer, Ko, “Psychobilly isn’t going anywhere!” Through all the black eyes and mattress stains, Asmodeus has a soft side when it comes down to massage therapy on girls underage.
