You
remember how Bon Scott and AC/DC used to write songs about big balls and
rockin' the tops off of chicks? Yeah, well so does Supagroup. And that's
EXACTLY what they do, like Bon and Co., only, you know...alive. This New
Orleans quartet is led by the Brothers Lee (Chris on vocals and
rhythm and the younger Benji on lead) who unabashedly display the cock n’
roll swagger of the arena rock mythos as if it was their born duty, Jack.
This is some bona fide BAD FUN, and only mad men in headbands and
denim-clad motherfuckers need apply. Oh, and chicks whose tops can easily
be rocked off too. Listen, Supagroup isn’t doing anything with …Rules
that Hurricane Party, The Shine, Tokyo Dragons, and The Supersuckers
aren’t already doing, or that AC/DC, Aerosmith, and GN’R haven’t already
done, but there’s a raw and genuine talent here that elevates Supagroup
from regular riff merchants to super-sized sons of skulls, cobras, fire,
and guns. It’s just really fuckin’ good, man. And a really fuckin’ good
time too. And you’ll love it. Supagroup rules, after all. __________________________________________________ |
