ROMEO LIQUOR STORE
Switchblade
As Hope Fades

Have you ever wondered what a band would sound like if their main influence was zombies and bloody knife fights? Well, that band is Romeo Liquor Store, seething maggots who play a brain stew of sloppy rock and feed off of the rancid booze that pours from your soul after it’s been stabbed, like, 59 times or something. But you’re bleeding for rock n’ roll, so it’s cool, ya know?

Anyway, Switchblade is just full of punk infused jackhammer riffs and supersonic gut shots which has RLS matching wits with fellow Canadian rock beasts Maximum RNR and Kill Cheerleader, and other notable foolkillers, like AC/DC, Joker Five Speed, Toilet Boys, and all your favorite sing along, stomp along teenage mayhem bands. The killer tracks here include the razor sharp title track, the blurry, back alley neon of “Girls Love Speed,” and the highly infectious “I Eat Brains,” which will haunt you for a good while. So, if you’re the kind of bastard that likes oozing stiches or long scars or rotting brain matter or the sound of midnight screams, then I’d say you’ve found your musica nervosa right here. Bon appétit, freaks.
