NEKROMANTIX
Brought Back To Life...Again
Hellcat

This remastered reissue of an early Necro record contains the original lost intro and, happily, an alt version of possible best track 'Nekrofelia' - a lovely (now, there's a word not usually associated with psychobilly...next month! Demented's Sparky in romantic ballad shock...) Misfits dining with Roky Erickson flame burner that would melt the most zombiefried psychobilly's heart. In the main a roughly spliced together literal monster mash of rampant gonzoid bat-bite 'Billy, with those liquid lunatic guitar licks that the 'Tix excel at ('Bloody Holiday', the skulldrumstick smasher 'Horrorscope', which, if the QOTSA chappie didn't pilfer the intro for 'Whatever You Do' why, I'll eat my pomade...one of the standouts here, it also features a marvelous stake through the heart stab at a Randy Rhoads / Iron Maiden twiddle-fest guitar solo) that sound like a fast motion nature programme of a spiders gestation period up to and including giving birth then all the babies spilling out crawling all over, or as on 'Driller Killer' and 'Brought Back To Life' resembling nothing less that the bubbling over of brightly coloured liquids of a crazed scientists test tubes while stray cats strut n' skulk about in the shadows waiting for their time to emerge ('Monster Movie Fan', 'Reincarnated Love') all the while those cranium crushing bloody hammer voodoo jungle drums and whatever fucking creature is contained in that infamous coffin bass keep on their incessant grind creating more eternal undead the world over. Not essential, but fun and proves it's far better to love the dead than y'know, love The 'Dead.
