GROUND LEVEL
|
Some
people have friends in low places, like me for instance, but this nu-jack
trio of barbwire eatin’ Canuck knuckle dusters have friends in high and
mighty places, like the God of Thunder himself, THOR, who
graciously – or desperately – included them on his Intercessor
soundtrack. Right, so it’s the worst movie of all time, but Ground
Level has come crawlin’ out the rubble of that rock n’ roll nightmare
with Trustfire, a bleeding vice grip of aggro biker metal
that tries its best to split your skull with an angry mix of Soil-esque
nu-metal and hardcore boot stomp. Whether it succeeds or not depends on
how much you eat up the click clack of a threatening bass, the fated drop
of anvil riffs, and the desperation of basement-trained strangling vocals.
But I imagine if you’re pissed off at me for trashing the fucking movie,
that you’re likely to get off on Ground Level. ________________________________________________________ |
