The
Boils have demonstrated admirable tenacity, plugging away with their
own brand of hardcore-cum-street rock and roll long before it became
trendy or acceptable. On "From the Bleachers" you get the
usual dose, along with some interesting digressions. Some of these work,
like the ska beat of "Arson in Action" and some don't, like
the sub-Sublime reggae of "Skinhead Reggae Beach Stomp".
Lyrically, The Boils outstrip a fair number of their peers with the
thoughtful lyrics of "Anarchy in Action". Worthwhile.
