When
people criticize the self-indulgence, self importance and the Emperor's
New Clothes quality of the "underground", Aids Wolf is exactly the
type of band they are talking about. This Montreal group just tries it's
darndestest to echo the likes of bands such as Smega, The Boredoms and
early Butthole Surfers, and comes up with nothing. Those bands were
actually innovative and interesting, "Lovvers" just sounds like the
dribblings of a spoiled museum school student. Don't let the erect penis
of the label logo fool you, this is as flaccid and impotent as it gets.
