Rotor
is some free flowin’ instrumental groove rock from Berlin, so, I don’t
know, imagine anything you want, man. Let your mind wander. I’m sure
Germany has some pretty jumpin’ opium dens, maybe in the seedy Berlin
underground, where this shit is all the rage, where skinny, gap-toothed
girls in tight jeans and high boots move over Persian rugs like white lava
while thick-jawed, long-haired stoner boys are gettin’ their jollies
watching ‘em, one hand in their pocket and the other reflecting the glare.
It’s precisely the kind of scene you wouldn’t find if Germany had won the
war or if the Wall never came down, so here’s to democracy and emancipated
maniacs with sledgehammers. Oh, and to drugs and rock n’ roll, too. Now,
Rotor did spice things up on 2 by bringing in Iranian singer
Behrang Atavi for vocal duties on “On the Run” and “Erdlicht”,
so their thick syrup of trip-tastic super fuzz is a little more exotic
this time around, but that’s called progress as far as I’m concerned. So
breathe easy, jam hounds. This shit is alright.
