shredding split CD featuring two American black metal ‘bands’ (I think
they’re both one-man bedroom jobs). Sapthuran is up first with
three pummeling tracks that all sound like they were recorded on an Edison
tube. It’s pure wind-tunnel necroshit, as raw as inhumanly possible. Sap
does sorta sound like a whole band, though. A whole band being
ripped to shreds by Dobermans. Leviathan has fiive awesome tracks
on deck. Fuckin’ Leviathan. I like it. It’s just some guy screaming “Whoooo!”
while flaming cars fly off of cliffs and land in mangled heaps on
screaming crowds below. Leviathan is the most apocalyptic ‘band’ I’ve ever
heard. The actual apocalypse probably won’t be this noisy. What else needs
to be said, really? This is a remarkably antisocial CD. Everybody will
hate you just for playing it. Except for Satan. He’ll be pretty impressed.
