After
spending the last couple years hacking around with his various side-bands
(Die Hunns, Duane Peters Gunfight), punk/skateboard legend Duane Peters
returns to his first love, the mighty US Bombs, for a bracing round
of snarling protest punk. “We Are the Problem” (ain’t that
the truth!) runs the gamut from the Clash-y riot-alongs like the title
track and the scorching “Revolution Weekend” to
balls-to-the-wall riff n’ roll like “Do It Again” and even
50’s inspired shack-shakers like “Heartbreak Motel”. Under
all it all, though, is the kinda righteous indignation we used to demand
from our punk bands back when they actual cared about something besides
their fuckin’ girlfriends.
