Can’t
tell you too much about these cats ‘cept for their hometown (Tempe, AZ),
because they decided to go joke-y on their bio (Note to other bands who
are also thinking of penning ‘funny’ press releases: don’t.), but I can
tell you what’s on the CD. It opens with a wheedley instrumental fuzzrock
track, which kinda lulls you into a heavy-lidded stoner vibe, but than it
pulls the green carpet out from under you and launches into a fistful of
shitkicker-tinged funnypunk tracks that I can only describe as
‘rollicking’. “Disposable Planet” is pretty good, a grinding
scuzzpunk track with old skull hardcore yelping, and “Born to Rock
N’ Roll”, while tongue in cheek, has some nice frizzle-fry riffs,
and the rest of ‘em lay somewhere between Government Issue and a sunbaked
Fiendz. Not bad. None of it lives up the mighty wallop that their awesome
name promises, but what could, really? ________________________________________________________ |
