BUBBLE
Rocknroll Hell
Basement Boy

The funny thing about this disc is how motherfucking YOUNG they sound - if you didn't know better, you'd swear these were horny teenagers making all this aggressive, trashy pop racket! "Down N Out In Hollywood" reminded me of my faves from the old Sunset Strip days when I first moved to Tinseltown, Miniskirt Mob! Other songs sound a bit like, well, the Donnas if only their singer had more vocal ability. Obviously, this is Share and Bam Bam from Vixen, Dogs D'Amour, Wildhearts, etc., and it's all super energetic, lively, catchy popnroll. Part rum, part coke. Everybody pretends like Courtney Love writes stuff as good as, "I Hurt Myself", but truthfully, she seldom does. "I'm Alrite Jack" might be a love letter to Tyla. This is really youthful sounding, spiteful, hopeful, desperate, randy, boppy raunch I'll be passing along to the coolest teenager I know. How could anybody NOT love Bubble?
