Right
off the top
I can tell you The Bad Days are going to sit well with me. First,
one of the dudes on the inside of the CD sleeve is sporting a Backyard
Babies t-shirt. And second, their song “R’N’R Addict” was featured on the
Classic Rock Sons of Guns compilation. Not a bad way to grab some
attention. Of course, who needs hype like that when you can just bitch
slap people with your cocaine tongue of moto-sleaze and punk n’ roll
charm, right? Frankly, I was surprised to learn The Bad Days are from
Germany because they’ve got the Scandinavian vibe down solid, from the
dirty, accented vocals to the signature drunk-in-the-club sleaze metal
sound of bands like Bad Machine, Cosmic Ballroom, Gluecifer, United
Enemies, and the aforementioned Babies. You know the vibe – tight jeans,
worn-out Chucks, low slung gits, gang vocals, cigarettes dangling from the
lips – it’s all here in spades, my friends, with some Hanoi arena pomp
thrown in for good measure via raucous melodies, piano, and harmonica on
songs like “Big Nights,” “House of Cards,” and
“Behind the Times.” So, yeah, needless to say, The Bad Days
definitely sit well with me. __________________________________________________ |
