13
shots of jarring Bad Wizardry from Seattle’s own Four Easy Pieces.
A couple of ‘em used to be in the Heartattacks, the other two are
probably prime candidates for heart attacks of their own, and together,
they bash out slithery raunch n’ roll with pumping garage slop beats,
trashy punk rock guitars, and panicky screaming. “What You Need”,
with the soul-power breaks, is the clear winner, a punishing MC5 style
scorcher, but the whole record’s pretty cool, really, despite the name.
Most of the songs sound like either grinding teeth or teenagers setting
fire to a supermarket, and that’s just perfect for the job at hand, which
I believe is grinding teeth and setting fire to shit. 13 Sleazy Pieces,
then. __________________________________________________ |
