Swissters playing pretty basic Stones-y garage punk, and doing it with welcome brevity – this whole platter is done spinning in under 30 minutes. If the scamps at Voodoo Rhythm can be trusted – and they can’t, really – than the CN’G consists of one born-again Christian and three Satanists, which would make the best sitcom ever. Alas, this weighty concept is more interesting then the mid-tempo garage mush on this disc. It’s all competently played, mind you, and woulda been a starring attraction in the Crypt Records catalog circa 1992, but besides some frenzied feedback attacks on the awesome “Beerland”, this one will probably just roll right by you. At least it won’t take forever doing it. __________________________________________________
