Rhythm, always on the make for the latest wigged-out sounds, discovered
‘em and have blanketed the earth with this otherworldly dose of deep-fried
slacker-psyche. “Because of Women” opens with “Dark Sunday Evening”, a
deadringer for VU’s doper jam “Waiting For My Man”, and it only gets
looser from their, a supremely narcotic display of death-rattle blooze
guitars, confused muttering, and dizzy displays of free-form feedback
freakery. Imagine Spacemen 3 and the Birthday Party slowly sinking in a
tarpit together. Oh, and stick around for the spacefuzz cover of Johnny B
