ROY AND THE DEVIL'S MOTORCYCLE
Because of Women
Voodoo Rhythm

Quartet of greasy haired Swiss misters from halfway up a mountain, who have previously kept mostly to themselves, releasing ultra-limited edition vinyl records fulla their mongrel blues to the local yokels. Voodoo Rhythm, always on the make for the latest wigged-out sounds, discovered ‘em and have blanketed the earth with this otherworldly dose of deep-fried slacker-psyche. “Because of Women” opens with “Dark Sunday Evening”, a deadringer for VU’s doper jam “Waiting For My Man”, and it only gets looser from their, a supremely narcotic display of death-rattle blooze guitars, confused muttering, and dizzy displays of free-form feedback freakery. Imagine Spacemen 3 and the Birthday Party slowly sinking in a tarpit together. Oh, and stick around for the spacefuzz cover of Johnny B Good. It’s way better than Judas Priest’s. __________________________________________________
