are a futuristic gang of rag-tag mercenaries from Planet Finland out
to hypnotize the populace with thunderous cyberdelic sex rock. Why? I
dunno, I’m not a diabolical genius. What I do know is that “Mu$ic” is a
mad jumble of impossibly creepy baby-doll vox, slithering cartoon-dustrial
guitars, sheet metal drums and wild beast throb. It sounds like a porno
film that’s crawling off the screen to bite your crotch, and there’s three
– count ‘em – versions of it on this shiny, spinning, mesmerizing CD
single. Personally, I dig the “I Was a Teenage Satan Worshipper” remix,
because, well, I WAS. No, it’s because it sounds like Danielle Dax humping
the dude that did “Tubular Bells” on Bela Lugosi’s grave. There’s also two
more tracks on deck – “WTO” (White Trash Organization) and “Candy
Factory” – both of ‘em thrill-filled digital panic rockers, filled with
blips, bleeps, robot-metal riffs, and the sultry blonde croon of lead
steamer Jytt. I realize I am at least 20 years past the median age to be a
Pornorphan myself, but I fuckin’ GET it, Jack, and believe me, it’s worth
getting. To Thunderdome!
