Hellvis - Rock 'N' Roll Motherfuckers
(Self-released) www.hellvisrocks.com

Well, with a title like that, what do you think is gonna happen here? It ain't easy being the most rock and roll institution in all of Ohio, but Hellvis make it look easy on "RNRMF". You can't make a fuckin' move when this one's blaring without running head-on into some seminal rock and roll influence. It's got the redneck thrash n'roll of Nashville Pussy, the cowpunk twang and Dixie drawl of the Supersuckers, the big, beefy biker metal riffs of Circus of Power, the speedy smackabilly of the Meteors, and yeah, the sideburned swagger of Elvis fuckin' Presley, too. That doesn't mean that the influences eat up the band's sound, tho. It's more like a supermodel in leather pants and a Motorhead t-shirt- the accessories are killer, baby, but I really love you for what you got underneath. And what's underneath Hellvis' veneer of greaser cool is an undisputed allegiance to all things Rock, and that unwavering faith and sense of mission results in one big bad wolf of a record. How the fuck are you gonna argue with a band who's got songs
with titles like "Out for the Pussy, Blood, and Beer" and "Hell Bent Boogie"? What, you don't like American beer, American motorcycles, and American rock and roll? Of course you do, brother, which is why 'RNRMF' sounds more and more like a collection of brash new national anthems with every spin, especially the fittingly soaring "Ride the Eagle". Sure, it's about fucking some white trash chick with Chuck Berry on the radio, but listen, I wanna ride the eagle, too. We all wanna Ride the Eagle. And Hellvis is gonna show you how. Get to it, motherfucker.
