Romeo's Dead- It's All Your Fault
|
|
Shamelessly glammy trash and roll here-
produced by Davy Vain, even. Romeo's Dead have American Heartbreak's
penchant for jukebox hooks and Hanoi Rocks' million dollar knack for being
schoolgirl friendly and relentlessly sleazy all at once. A winning formula
for sure, so I'm a little surprised that this one's been sitting on the
shelf since it was recorded in 1998. Maybe they were just waiting out Limp
Bizkit's eventually demise. Anyway, "It's All Your Fault" is insanely
catchy, instantly reminds you of all kindsa late, great rock and roll bands
(The Joneses, The Veins, even a little Dramarama), and pretty much demands
that you sing along to it, especially at high speeds on wet roads. With so
many bands stuck in the rut of miserable, hungover Sunday morning
death-blues, it sure is refreshing to hear a band so effectively channel the
energy and enthusiasm of Saturday fuckin' night. |
