This is the best punk compilation I've ever heard. I don't even think that it's supposed to be; in fact, I think the whole record is just an elaborate advertisement for a Disaster records skateboard or something, as orchestrated by US Bombs/ Hunns main-man and shameless skate punk Duane Peters, but the ornery cat has such impeccable
fuckin' taste in punk-fueled rock and roll that it transcends any capitalist intentions and just rolls out the tunes, one hit after another, like a jukebox touched by God with a safety pin through his nose. The whole thing's a highlight, really, but if you want specifics, especially digable tracks abound from the Revolvers, who do their patented ultra-catchy glitter-punk thing on "Do You Have the Time", which is followed seconds later by "Big Mouth" by melodic
street-punkers Oxymoron, who throw in some slithery guitars and a little new wave bounce, which is in turn followed by a crunching thug n' roll shout-along by the US Bombs, which is...well, you get the idea, right? Seattle pogo punks the Briefs are also on deck, as well as sleaze-tease Texas Terri, NYC cock rockers the Bad Luck Charms, glam punks the Richmond Sluts, and plenty more. Not a duff track in the bunch. If you've got any interest in punk rock at all, check out "Old
Skars"- you're guaranteed to find a whole handful of your new favorite bands.
